"I laugh in the face of performance." - Leigh McLoughlin

"The Meadow" provides a virtual environment in which programs written in the C-Sheep programming language are executed and in which the program's behaviour can be observed. It is the world in which entities controlled by C-Sheep programs exist.

"The Meadow" is based on our proprietary "Crossbow" game engine which incorporates a virtual machine for executing C-Sheep programs.

The Crossbow Engine is a compact game engine designed specifically for "The Meadow", yet it is flexible in design and offers a number of features common to more complex engines. Graphics are supported through the OpenGL API and NVIDIA's Cg Shaders, with window management and input achieved through the Simple DirectMedia Layer.
